I could easily tell that the memory foam was of good quality, but my dogs always ruin bed coverings. I was skeptical at how well this cover would hold up to them.
Two of our dogs love to nest. Both our Boxer and our Beagle mix love to dig before they lie down. Our Beagle is the worst; she'll scratch and scratch in the same spot for a few minutes before she decides to lie down.
I'm pleased with the way that this cover is holding up to all the digging and nesting. So far you can't even tell that they've been scratching it daily for the past 4 months. It's machine washable, and each time I take it out of the washer it looks like new!
As far as longevity is concerned, I'll have to keep you posted. So far so good, but I'll update this review if anything changes.
